Paschal Roth Public Affairs seeks a Digital Strategist to join our team of message experts and earned media professionals. We help workers, environmental and equity advocates, and big thinkers in the health, human services and education spheres shape public dialogue. We put our hearts into electing candidates and passing bills and ballot measures that strengthen workers and families, give all Californians the opportunity to be healthy, and create greater justice and equity.
A candidate for Digital Strategist will possess:
Minimum 3-5 years experience crafting and managing digital campaigns that shape public opinion, mobilize grassroots action, and move the needle for electoral campaigns; OR applicable expertise and a passion for the work done by Paschal Roth
Expertise in deploying organic and paid social media/digital advocacy strategies to engage advocates, electeds and move public policy
Expertise in using data to effectively target voters, make cost-effective ad buys, and hone digital strategies
Experience directing creative production of websites, videos and advertising campaigns
Strategic thinking and a “rapid response” mentality - willing to jump in as needed to problem solve and support client success
Mastery of Adobe Creative suite and other design platforms
Knowledge of SEO/best practices to drive web traffic
A commitment to policies that promote justice and equity, experience creating campaigns that reflect diversity and inclusion
Digital Strategist duties:
Craft winning digital campaigns from concept to execution and monitoring - bringing together multiple tools, channels and creative approaches to achieve measurable goals
Work within Facebook, Google and other platforms as well as with digital ad buyers to create cost-effective budgets for client campaigns, monitor effectiveness and adjust for performance and costs, report to clients on outcomes
Bring a digital lens to all P/R campaigns - partner closely with team members to leverage opportunities from earned media into digital and vice versa
Build a portfolio of digital accounts, including development and strategic planning of new business proposals
Translate tested messages into engaging social media posts and organic campaigns
Create in-house, quick-turnaround graphic posts for organic social media
Curate a stable of trusted vendors and manage production within budget (graphic design, video production, photography, etc)
Stay on the cutting edge of trends in the digital public affairs space, recommending new tools and strategies to keep campaigns relevant and engaging
Interact professionally with clients and colleagues in calls, meetings and written communication
