Graphic and Multimedia Designer
Paschal Roth Public Affairs is seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer looking to build their career in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our firm and our clients’ campaigns across a variety of platforms and formats.
Key Responsibilities:
Design social media graphics and digital assets for client campaigns and firm channels
Record, edit, export, and upload video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and soundfiles, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music / voice-over / sound effects and media management
Create compelling proposal documents and pitch decks that support business development
Design slide decks for client presentations
Develop fact sheets, one-pagers, infographics, and other print/digital collateral
Maintain and apply brand standards consistently across all deliverables
Collaborate with client leads and strategists to meet deadlines
Maintain database of art and photo files
Work extended hours or on the weekends as deadlines/media coverage dictates. Minimal travel
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 year of experience in local or state government, political campaigns, or similar communications roles (including internships) is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including, but not limited to, Illustrator, InDesign,Photoshop, After Effects and Premier Pro
Experience in Canva
Strong understanding of design principles: typography, layout, color, and hierarchy
Basic video editing skills with an eye for pacing and storytelling
Website development is a plus but not a requirement
Interest in California legislature and politics
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to prioritize
Can-do, positive attitude
Ability to adapt across a multitude of client issue areas
Timely and consistent responsiveness
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suite of tools
Motivated, resourceful, and comfortable moving between teams
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Practices discretion and maintains confidentiality

Salary Range $64,000-$74,000 annually
